SEO and the Google Sandbox

(2)

Category : Uncategorized

There have been many words written online over the last few years questioning the existence or not of the infamous Google sandbox. Most people seem to be of the opinion that when a website is new, then it will automatically “find its way” into the sandbox. And while the site resides in the sandbox, it will not appear on any of Google’s top pages for its specific keywords. Some people are of the opinion that if you acquire more links to your website, you can magically escape the clutches of the sandbox, others are less inclined to believe this. The people who do disagree with this theory reckon that only with the passage of time will you escape the evil monsters clutches.

To understand the theory of the sandbox, and many people do believe in it, you have to understand other concepts of SEO and internet marketing. Opinions may be divided over all things sandbox related, but most people will have an opinion based on experiences from the past.

There are some who insist they can get to page one in the search result within four weeks of starting their SEO efforts. They also say that they can have their site indexed within a few hours. Is the sandbox theory defunct because of this then?

People may believe the sandbox exists and there could be any number of reasons they think this is so. It could be that they haven’t a clue how to carry out link building properly. This means that when their site doesn’t show up in Google they automatically think they have been sandboxed. Conversely, they may obtain so many links to their site within the first few days that they end up getting a so-called Google slap. Don’t mistake this slap for Google’s sandbox though.

Therefore we can surmise that although in all probability the sandbox theory is a false one, Google can intentionally keep your site from doing well in the search engines overnight propecia due to bad SEO. Or does the conspiracy thicken and the sandbox is the slap, or the slap is the sandbox?
