Email Marketing Tips: 7 Important Techniques To Sending Effective Emails

(0)

Category : Niche Marketing

E-mail marketing still has a lot of potential even though many marketers are pursuing newer methods such as social networking.  With the launch of all of these services, people still check their e-mails on a daily basis. They are becoming even more concerned on spam e-mails that can sneak in their inbox.  Web filters are fiercer than ever compared to the past years. Clients and web services are accurately rerouting these mails to the junk folders.   Unfortunately, some legitimate emails containing ads and opt-in subscriptions get swept into the junk bin accidentally. To make sure your email avoids the spam filter curse, follow these 7 simple steps:

1. Prepare a good email list

Sending emails to as many people as possible is good, but your effort will have gone to waste when you do not have a good list of business leads.   Preparing an email list may seem easy at first look, but in reality, it entails more than picking up any email address on sight. We must remember that not every person who receives an email will read it or respond to it, especially when the sender asks for sensitive information. Requests for personal information, such as the recipient’s full name, residential address or birthdate, raise warning flags immediately.

2. Do not send emails with attachments and fancy HTML codes

Emails with creative designs and attractive looks can catch a recipient’s attention and add some credibility to your email.   Others would attach some useful programs, presentations, and other content to further back the message.   Never add any attachments and refrain from using any HTML elements because some recipients may not be able to read them because most business servers disallow the formats.~ Avoid using fancy HTML to format your email’s appearance, no matter how good it looks, and do not attach any file or media to your email.  These unnecessary additions to your email prevent other people from reading your message because many email servers block emails in HTML formats and with unsecured attachments.}

3. Add as much Personalization as Possible

Since you cannot use advertisements or special HTML to make the message more appealing, you need to maximize your creative skills on how the message is going to be written.   Making the message personal is a good way to drive interest.   Catch your recipient’s interest by using his or her first name or business name. Adding a few personal statements, such as greeting your recipient “Good Morning” or “Good Afternoon” shows you know where your recipient lives.

4. Make Sure You Include Only The Most Important Details In Your Email

Personalization may have a dark side as well. You could get carried away into writing a lengthy message when you are trying to persuade other people to buy your product. People lose interest when they see long sentences and large blocks of text.   However, the email must answer all questions. If you have to print all answers in your email, then having long blocks of text is acceptable as long as the text are divided into headings and subheadings, the writer makes use of bullet points, and the important points were highlighted or printed in bold.   This information should include the phone number and a link back to your website where the product or service is being presented so it can be properly forwarded to others.

5. Remember To Place an “Unsubscribe” Link

Opting to receive marketing emails and cialis order newsletters does not necessarily mean they are interested in what you have to say further.   Otherwise, you can expect people in your list to voice out and possibly say bad things regarding your marketing strategies.

6. Relate to Current Happenings

Another good way to make the message interesting is by adding one or two sentences regarding recent financial related events.  This keeps the message fresh and makes readers aware that you are up-to-date.

7.  Put Your Final Output Through An Online Spam Check Befor You Send It

Spam filters may still block the message despite the time and hard work you spent fine-tuning your message for your readers. Before you send your email, process it first through a spam check. Use free spam check tools online, such as Contactology’s Message Quality Score tool (www.contactology.com/check_mqs.php) or IsNotSpam Online Tool (www.isnotspam.com).
