Another classic blunder that some online businesses commit is having their “JOIN HERE” button somewhere on the bottom half of the web-page. You need to place the opt-in box such that a person landing on your site is not required to scroll down to locate it. They must be able to see it right away. Placing the opt-in box below the first page in effect hides it from the prospect such that they do not understand what they should do. It is a mistake to assume that your prospects will understand what action they should take because many of them simply will not. Take into account all people. Some will know their way around and will need little assistance, while others basically must be led by the hand every step of the way or they will get lost and never figure out where to go.
