Is article marketing an effective strategy? Absolutely. Over the last couple of months I have created close to 1000 leads from this strategy alone. I’ve only actually been doing any online promotional strategies for the last couple of months. Sometimes I see people online who are frustrated with article marketing, and I think that it’s because they don’t understand the basic mechanics of search engine placements. My goal here is simple. I want you to have some immediate ideas that will help you make more money, faster with your article marketing efforts.

The number one thing you want to do is create useful and relevant information for your readers. You may be thinking ‘what does he mean?’ You need to help people solve issues that they’re having with your articles, or you won’t get any traction from your marketing efforts. Sometimes you see an article that says it’s about one thing, but the information isn’t helpful at all. That’s a BAD idea if you want to build a stable, long term business. You want to speak directly to the core issues of your readers as much as possible. Being useful and related with your concepts will help you rank in the search engines more than any other factor.

Next, you need to make sure that your author biography has useful resources that are targeted at your article subject matter. Simply put, you want to have an author resource box that solves the exact problem that created your article in the first place. It’s important that your resource box is viewed with continuity with your core article message. Does that help? Make your offer as relevant as possible.

The third thing that you need to do is create a lot of incoming one way links to your article if you want it to rank in Google and stay on the front page. Over time, you’ll need more and more links coming in to your page to rank well for the same terms. Most people assume that just because something is on EzineArticles or any other article directory that it will rank high… and it won’t. As a minimum linking technique, you should add your article to all of the social bookmarking sites that you can. I use OnlyWire to automatically bookmark all of my article pages. That will immediately give your articles backlinks, attention, and more traffic than if you don’t do it.

Last, write a whole bunch of articles. Most people never take the time to create enough information to make their site noticeable online. How many articles should you write? As many as you possibly can. Every single day I create one article personally, and that has been enough for me over time.

My last idea is that you need to be positive about your website’s future. Making money online is easy if you get good at article marketing, and it is simply one of the coolest strategies you could possibly engage in long term. Keep your eyes peeled for more useful concepts! (After all, I do write one new article per day.)
